I forgot my password. How can I reset it to a new password?

If you have forgot your password to your Simple URL Shortener account and therefore need to to reset it to new password then just follow this link:

if you do have not receive your email with the password reset link within a few minutes in your your email providers inbox then please remember to check your spam inbox because emails sometimes can end up there even if the email isn’t a spam email.

How can I change my email address?

You can change your email address in your user dashboard by hovering your mouse on the upper right corner in your Simple URL Shortener user account and then click on “profile”:

Click on the right menu → Settings → “Change email” and enter a new email address in the “new email” field and confirm it by adding your new email to the second filed. After that click “Submit”

Check your spam inbox at your email provider if you do not receive a confirmation email from us!

Where can I find my invoices?

You can view your invoices by signing into your account and go here to view and manage them.

Which browsers do Simple URL Shortener currently support?

Simple URL Shortener currently supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Safari and Opera. We strongly recommend that you use one of these internet browsers for the full functionality of our URL Shortening service.

We have not tested other browsers and thus they may or may not work as expected.

Where in my dashboard can I delete my account?

Currently at this time you cannot unfortunately delete or pause your account yourself from the user dashboard. If you like to have your account deleted then just simply open a ticket at our helpdesk here.

This is a permanent action and your deleted Simple URL Shortener account cannot be retrieved after this action has been carried through.

The practice of short links is to take a very long hyberlink and shrink it to much more user friendly shorter size which makes it more manageable and easy to handle when you need to share it whether it is that you are running a marketing campaign or simple wish to share a link with colleagues, friends on social media, text messages etc.

This is especially true these days where most of our daily internet consumption is to a larger degree no longer through computers , but through smaller devices such as smart phones and tablets where a very long link is more cumbersome to to type and share than a very short link.

The shortened hyberlink will then redirect to the destination target URL either by page redirect (Default option which is security feature that allows the end-users to preview the final destination) or by direct redirect.

We do primary offer email support to customers with an active paid premium plan through our helpdesk.

You must register at our helpdesk with the primary email address associated with your Simple URL Shortener account and submit your support ticket request there.

For free accounts and everyone else

We do offer limited support users with a free account in terms of issues in regards to technical account issues such as account access, upgrading account issues and request for suspending or deleting your account. You must as mentioned above register with your associated with your Simple URL Shortener account at our helpdesk or we will not be able to service you.

How to add Disqus to your account to empower your links

Simple URL Shortener comes with the power of Disqus and you can add your Disqus account to your links so that your visitors that clicks on your short link can add comments to your shortened links and thus get an even bigger social impact in your marketing campaigns, on social platforms etc.

By adding this function to your account we will display your custom Disqus comment feed on all your generated short links in the redirect preview page which visitors see before they are redirected to their final target destination URL.

Creating your Disqus account and shortname URL.

What you need to do first is to create an account at Disqus here:

Once you are done with the sign up process then go ahead and create a Disqus site with a shortname here:

Chose the shortname alies you like you use for your Disqus site:

and click the button “create site”.

If you are not redirected automatically then click here to go to site admin page and select your newly created Disqus site.

That will present to your shortlink URL which you need to copy:

Now go to your Simple URL Shortener account to your profile here

and paste the Disqus shortname into that field.

How to find your Disqus RSS Feed URL.

Next thing you need to do is to add your Discus RSS feed URL to your Simple URL Shortener account. This is actually very easy as all you need to do is to take your Disqus shortname your-shortname.disqus.com and to that shortname just add /latest.rss  to the end of the shortname, so it look like this:

You can test  your RSS feed link is correctly in your browser.  It should produce a RSS feed page like the example below on Disqus’ website:

If the Disqus RSS page link is working correctly then copy that link:

and paste it into the Disqus RSS feed URL field in your account and click on the submit button. Once the setting is saved, your Disqus comment field will now be displayed to your audience of visors that clicks on your links.

Please note that Disqus comment field will only be displayed and work if you have selected the
“Page Redirect” for your shortened link.
